Thomas is currently Chief Commercial Officer at Virtually Live. Previously he was at Deutsche Telekom. He is also an active advisory at start-ups like experto, Invicta Medical and Curatio. As VP/GM he is leading the North America activities for innovative partnering as part of DT’s Group Business Development & Partnering team. In this role he and his team worked closely with start-up companies, mature established potential partners and the Venture Capital community ( like DropBox, Twitter, Facebook, Google, Evernote, Lookout etc.) Serving DT’s Marketing team, Product and Innovation Group and all individual NatCos (National Corporations – T-Mobile), Activities ranged from technology scouting to partner management to closing commercial deals. Prior to DT he managed worldwide strategic accounts at Logitech Inc. like Dell, HP after he managed all consumer display manufacturers to introduce Google TV gen2. For almost 8 years as VP Business Development/Strategic Accounts, he was involved in numerous start-ups evangelizing desktop video conferencing (like Vidyo) and worked with companies like Skype, Yahoo, Google and others. Since moving to Silicon Valley in ‘91 for 10 years he spent primarily in the graphics/multimedia PC industry and as VP/GM at ELSA Inc. He established the US presence until the IPO in 1998. Thomas grew up in Germany and studied Computer Science at the BIB in Paderborn, NRW. In 2013 he joined Paul Kim, PhD CTO/Assistant dean Stanford School of Education to build upwww.seedsofempowerment.org.
He is a cofounder/coach of the Silicon Valley Marathon Club and one of 190 people globally who finished all 6 majors and ran Havana, Cuba in 2015.
