Her work in forensic accounting and financial settlement optimization has been used in Superior Court cases where she uses financial modeling and trend analysis to perform business valuations as a qualified expert witness.
A profound interest in financial education and user engagement led her to study behavioral finance with a soft-focus on challenges women encounter when engaging with consumer financial services. Through her thirty years of independent and academic research, Teresa has codified modifications in FinEd delivery systems and content strategies that successfully promote higher accessibility and engagement rates for women’s empowerment with equally significant ramifications for STEM and teaching math.
Passionate about adapting new technologies in the field of education, Teresa is a hands-on technologist with a sustained interest in driving innovation to aid all disenfranchised groups who struggle with financial concepts. In turn, her contributions to leading women’s leadership development communities have led to reshaping the conversation and curricula to include the significance of women understanding enterprise P & L.
Having been responsible for over $800 MLN in strategy deployments and direct financial transactions in the last decade, Teresa has hands-on and abundant experience in starting and growing companies, creating and delivering programs that enhance brand identification, while integrating design thinking.
Teresa graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.A. She has also studied Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst’s® curriculum, and has completed both the 40-hour classroom training for Mediation as well as numerous advanced clinics in alternative dispute resolution and negotiations.
