Ron Flavin is a self-employed Growth and Funding Strategist, Grant Writer, Author, and Speaker. His past positions include VP of Classicheadlines.com, VP of Turner Group Marketing, Director of Mass Market Sales at the Invisible Armor, and Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Norton Museum of Art. Ron became an accomplished global entrepreneur at the age of 21 when he launched a chain of Midwestern stores that ultimately sold to major customers such as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Kroger, and more in only a year. Ron became grant writing in the mid-90s, bringing in more than $170 million in grants for his clients over a 10 year period, working with businesses, non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, and educational institutions in the US and abroad. In 2011, he authored his book, Business Grants: Everything you need to know to connect with local, state, and Federal grants for businesses. As a global business advisor, he provides strategic and operational consulting in the United States, Europe, and other locations around the world. He assists clients in assessing markets, identifying new opportunities, and developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve short- and long-term goals. His particular areas of expertise include: renewable energy, technology, telecommunications, grant writing, public safety, education, and sustainability, among others. He is currently engineering the launch of a startup renewable energy firm in Germany.
