Paulette has extensive experience in the high-tech industry, with a broad COO-scope background including engineering, product definition, product marketing, alliances and business development, demand generation, sales, professional services, and support. Her product focus has included software-as-a-service and cloud multi-tenant platforms.
In 2013, to realize her long-held goal of leveraging her professional skills to create new opportunities for the underprivileged, she joined Khan Academy, where she was Head of Education and International Partnerships, responsible for school, college, and after-school programs as well as country-level international partnerships.
Previously, she was VP and General Manager of SaaS Applications for Dell Software Group, where she was responsible for incubating new businesses as well as acquiring and integrating innovative software companies, with responsibility for the entirety of these businesses from product development to sales. Prior to that, she held the position of Executive Vice President at Juniper Networks, reporting directly to the CEO, where she led the creation of Juniper’s very successful and innovative enterprise switching business and product portfolio, which reached #3 market position within 2 years of introduction. As Vice President and General Manager at Cisco Systems for nine years, she was responsible for a $1.5 billion business serving the Commercial and Service Provider markets where she led the creation of many market-leading platforms, including the very successful Integrated Services Router portfolio, which became the fastest-ramping new product line in Cisco history and redefined its category.
Paulette holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/Electronics with Distinction from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and is a holder of three patents. She serves as board member/advisor to several ed tech companies and non-profits.
