Paul Frankel is a business executive, founder, and advisor with 20 years of experience in the mobile, wireless, consumer electronics, and finance industries.
Paul is a partner at Kachina LLC, a consultancy to businesses geared for rapid customer validation, commercialization, and major scalability. He is also general partner at Ecosa Properties, advising ag land and specialty food clients on corporate development, intellectual and real property acquisition, organic transition, management, marketing, and sales.
He co-founded and served as vice-chairman of the Wi_Fi Alliance, the global industry association that coined the term, and ensures interoperability based on IEEE 802.11, with more than 6,000 product certifications to date. As a director in the wireless communications business unit at 3Com Corp., Paul was responsible for VC, M&A, and technology licensing. He worked directly with 3Com Ventures, a $200 million strategic investment pool, to make $62 million worth of new deals in 11 software, hardware, and silicon companies.
Paul was adjunct faculty at Stanford and UC Berkeley where he taught entrepreneurship, strategy, and management. He’s earned an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, a BA in political science and economics from the University of Arizona, and a FINRA Series 7 license.
