Norihisa Wada is the Executive Vice President & CMO of Tokyo-based Edulab, Inc., the leading innovator of education with a strong basis in assessment and learning science. Norihisa drives the business innovation and investment in the field of EdTech. He is also a Business-Academia Advisor for Kyoto University with a passion for the instructional and behavior design.
His business career started as early member of Advanced Media, Inc. (company in the voice recognition industry which successfully went public in The Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market in year 2005) where he served as a Senior Manager of Entertainment & Education / Mobile Business Department and also as a Secretary for Business Strategy Management Department. During his years at Advanced Media, Inc. he worked closely with Carnegie Mellon University to develop and market the state of the art artificial intelligence driven voice recognition technology.
Before joining EduLab, Inc., he was a Senior Vice President of IE Institute, a company well known for its unprecedented number of hit titles for nintendoDS & Wii setting the global trend of serious games.
He has attended many international conferences as a presenter representing Japan in “Gamification” and “Mobile Learning”. He has numerous proven track records at the cross-section of where centuries-old industry and innovation meet.
His curiosity extends to designing, leveraging and maintaining peoples’ quality of life. With his vast network and connections, he hopes to support many learning, education, sports, health + innovation and AI related projects in both consumer and enterprise businesses.
