Nancy Poon Lue is the Executive Director of GSV Summit. She oversees GSV education network relations including the annual ASU GSV Education Innovation Summit, which brings together over 3,000 of the most impactful education-focused entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, policymakers and philanthropists. She previously served as General Manager of the EdTech Innovation Lab at GSVlabs where she led the launch of the edtech community to more than 60 startups in just six months. Prior to joining the GSV constellation, Nancy was Senior Advisor and Acting Performance Improvement Officer of the U.S. Department of Education where she led all of the federal agency’s strategic planning and performance management initiatives, including the development of its five-year strategic plan. She also provided policy guidance and implementation oversight for competitive grant programs with a focus on education technology and scaling innovative learning models. Prior to her appointment to the Obama Administration, Nancy was a Principal at The Advisory Board Company where she led corporate strategy for the launch of the firm’s global higher education division that served more than 400 universities. Nancy also worked as Vice President of Strategic Planning for Edison Learning, the nation’s largest K12 education management company. She has served on the boards, advisory committees, and appointed commissions of more than a dozen education organizations. Nancy is currently a board member of the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund as well as Students for Education Reform and is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum-Silicon Valley. She graduated with honors from Harvard College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
