Mike is the Director of Student Experience at Minerva where he leads experiential learning and community engagement. He works to facilitate student development by integrating Minerva’s curriculum into location-based learning experiences, designing “global classrooms without walls.” Before Minerva, Mike worked at Georgetown University for over 5 years for a) the Chief Operating Officer, b) the Chief Information Officer, and in the c) Office of the Provost (co-launching the Beeck Center for Social Impact & Innovation + leading the design of the first ever hackathon for the White House’s My Brother’s Keeper initiative). Formerly, Mike was an investment banker at Barclays Capital focusing on consumer & retail. He is on the board of directors of SxSWedu and Minds Matter San Francisco (a nonprofit that helps high-achieving low-income high school students get into (and stay in) college). Mike graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with concentrations in accounting, finance, and english. He loves his sous vide machine dearly.
