Michael Andres Narea is the Program Director of the Education & Talent Technology Lab at GSVlabs. Before joining the GSVlabs team, he devoted two years of his life to create and adapt design thinking curriculum for high school audiences in South Florida and Costa Rica as a founding member of New Frontiers Education. Previously, Michael has a wide range of eclectic experiences working as a junior sales account manager for Suncor Energy in Toronto, CA, a supply chain analyst for Brightstar Corporation in Johannesburg, South Africa, and a business development associate for NuMat Technologies in Chicago, IL. Michael graduated in 2014 from Northwestern University’s Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering.
Aside from working at GSVlabs, Michael advises and fundraises as a board member of the Costa Rican sea turtle conservation non-profit organization, Sea Turtles Forever, and leads high school and college student trips to their site in Los Pargos, Costa Rica for service learning experiences. During the summer, he also serves as an instructor teaching design thinking methods to university students across China through Jiang China Design.
