Gagan Rana is a mission-driven businessman who loves to execute, mentor and tackle problems head-on. Gagan is currently focused on addressing challenges related to the skills gap and issues related to cost, access and completion in higher education. He has previously consulted for the founding team at Match Beyond – an innovative blending learning model that seeks to produce high college completion rates and employment for students from underserved backgrounds. He also served as a Coach at Koru, a venture backed startup that delivers month-long business bootcamps to help college graduates find and succeed in their first job.
Prior to his work in the workforce development and higher education space, Gagan was an investment banker at Barclays, where he executed over $25 billion in M&A, IPO and debt transactions for leading technology companies. Gagan also previously worked as a consultant at Investor Group Services, where he helped growth equity and private equity firms evaluate opportunities and make investment decisions. Prior to his work in finance and consulting, Gagan was co-founder and CEO of SFC, an innovative rural IT services company that has served global clients for over 8 years. At SFC, Gagan focused on hiring, training and business development and helped the company achieve operating break-even within three months of founding.
Gagan holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from U.C. Berkeley and a MBA from UCLA Anderson.
